Honours and Awards
The CNS and CNA jointly recognize outstanding
contributions within the Canadian nuclear industry, and the Canadian nuclear research and
academic communities, through several honours and awards.

The CNS also awards the CNS PRESIDENT'S AWARD
In addition, the CNS is a member of the Engineering Institute of Canada, which offers Honours & Awards: ENGINEERING INSTITUTE OF CANADA (EIC) AWARDS

Nominations for all of the above awards will be reviewed by the joint CNS/CNA Awards Committee. Please send your nominations in confidence, to reach the CNS office by 2010 Feb 28, to:

The CNS is a member of the Engineering Institute of Canada. The Institute has seven Honours & Awards described here (en français ici).
Members from the various societies affiliated with the Institute are eligible for these awards and may apply each fall through their member society.
CNS members who wish to apply or nominate someone for one of the Engineering Institute of Canada awards are requested to submit their nomination to the CNS office.
Nominations need to contain the following:
- Nomination letter indicating name of candidate, the specific award being applied for, summary of relevant information on the candidate that relates to the basis of the award as specified in the award description
- Contact information of candidate
- 2 letters of support by CNS members
The EIC awards are given out at the EIC gala that is held in Ottawa in March of each year.
