OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION AWARD


PURPOSE OF THE AWARD:
To recognize Canadian-based individuals, organizations or parts of organizations that have made significant contributions in the nuclear field, either technical or non-technical. There are two categories of the award, one for individuals and another for organizations or parts of organizations.

AWARD DESCRIPTION:
The Outstanding Contribution Award was established in 1989 by the Canadian Nuclear Association. The award is in the form of an engraved brass plaque mounted on a wood panel.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The criteria applied in the selection process include, but are not limited to, the nominee’s contribution to the development of nuclear energy over a long period of time, either individually or as part of an organization or an outstanding specific contribution. Eligibility is not restricted to technical achievements. The individual or organization being nominated must be Canadian or Canadian based. In any given year, there can be more than one individual or organization receiving this award, depending solely on the number and merits of the nominations. The nomination letter should contain descriptions of the contributions made by the nominee and a concise outline of the nominee’s education and work experience. Letters of support to the nomination from two individuals in the industry should accompany the nomination.
